Maestro Di' Pittore

There stands the predominate artisan
     The maestro
Before his endless canvas with pallet in hand
     Preparing his oils
Brushing out the everyday landscapes
     Lost to our eyes
Use the moment to stop and open your mind
     Take the time
Become one with his canvas enjoying the gift
     Painstakingly stroked
Become aware of the worlds symbiotic nature
     Beheld in grace

     The aroma of honeysuckle…
          The flight of the popinjay…
               The glassy tarn of dusk…

For every night and every season they wane
     Only to bloom again
Use your heart to look into your brother’s eye
     Greet him anew
See and admire the many hues lining their faces
     Eyes of blue and green
Come to know the glory still radiant in this world
     Within cherubic song
Come drink your fill brushed upon the blind eyes
     See it for the truth
Now know the face of the world’s great artisan
     Though you’ve always known

He is the voice of the Almighty
          A mighty peacemaker called Allah
And the judging thunder of Iehova

I hold him close within my spirit and call his name
     Maestro di’ Pittore
The master painter…who colors the world for us all
    On the suns rising palette
