Made Me Ponder:
I once read a poem about a rusty old gate,
Which made me ponder! It's not the subject, it's how it relates.
I once read a poem on a sinking ship,
Which I loved, it was straight from the hip.
I once read a poem on a wilting rose,
I forget the form, perhaps it was prose.
I once read a poem about a silly old man,
I laughed and laughed, I was the poet's greatest fan.
Though the poetry I love most is still a mystery to me,
Eagerly I wait to read the next poetry!
