Mother's Day

Made For Me

If I could have picked my mom,
If God had given me the option…
Of another mother,
One who was more important,
More understanding,
Kinder or more available…
I am sure… absolutely certain…

No one on earth
Could have been better
Not one other woman
Could have taught me more,
Reassured my heart,
Helped me to grow

No other mother, 
Not a chance… could she have been
More important to my soul,
More understanding of my hopes,
More available or more able to show
My heart all the love that would grow
Into a woman who is absolutely certain…

No one on this earth
Could have been more
Than the mother that God gave me,
The Mom who taught me that love
Is the one thing worth all that I give,
Love is the answer and love is the reason
I will always be sure….

My mom is the gift from above
Who filled my life with a love
That is more wonderful than any other blessing,
More beautiful than any other lesson,
More what I needed than anything else
And I’m surely thankful…

That God gave me this Mother
Who is better than any other mother,
because she is the Mom God created
just for me, the Mom who is the blessing
I will always believe…
Made my life and my heart a better place to be

Oh, I’m so grateful
God made my mom for me!
