Notes About The Poem

Lately I had been struggling with retinal macular degradation. I am going thru with medical procedures, Hopefully I will be back in three to six months.

Macular degeneration

Eyes that once beheld the world so clear,
Now shadows cloak what was once near.
Macula dims, stealing sight's song,
Yet hope and courage still stand strong.

In fading light, a spirit's might,
Sees beauty beyond the shades of night.

I guess when you wrote this I never saw it. Today I presume you are better now with your eyes? Sure hope so

Thanks for visiting. I have been taking quarterly eye injection for wetAMD. It helps to see things better. Your wishes will make it better in future. Jay

Terrible condition, but lovely poetic words of description, Jay. Your words flowed smoothly as I read your poem today. Have a pleasant weekend, my friend. Bill
