“Through this world I’ve stumbled
So many times betrayed
Trying to find an honest word
To find the truth enslaved
Oh you speak to me in riddles and
You speak to me in rhymes
My body aches to breathe your breath
You words keep me alive”
I know these feeling, I’ve lived them well
In a world WHERE I could never tell,
I was once captured, they held me down
For many years I thought I’d never be found
Betrayal birthed roots that PRODUCED bad fruit
Denial hid behind smiles that bread life trials
But a burning hope, and flickering light
Lived inside, I just needed it to ignite
Perfect love, the only cure
To give me new wings and make me sore
I now can be still in words that are true
Unraveled deception, a restful view
Your words are serene, killing off the machine
I am embracing a life that I’ve never seen.
