Lying Phone Booth

The lies people believe mount like hills of trash at a dump!
Trees are chopped off the family tree, leaving only a stump
All I can say is, it’s not too late to research for the truth
Save your life and forget the mainstream media’s lying phone booth!

Heidi, I saw the funniest thing on face book the other day. It was a picture of two young girls taking pictures with their cell phones of a phone booth as though they had never seen one. I guess I'm dating myself. Your poem made me think of the well known children's book titled, The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein. Fake news, so tough to figure out where the truth lies or hides. What an important relevant poem.

Visceral image: Nothing much uglier than a stump where a family tree used to be. ~ Gershon

That is right Gershon and Lies are destroying humanity , among other things. Thank you for your comment :)

Heidi, fifty percent of the readers on poetry soup probably don't know what a phone booth is...
