Lyin Eyes Lyin Hearts

She tells me, she loves me, but I know Her eyes can’t keep a secret and it shows If she could, I know, she’d let me go Cause only resentment grows Lyin’ eyes Lyin’ hearts We’ve both given up But we still play the part If not for the fear, of a new start We’d do what’s right Lyin’ eyes Lyin’ hearts Who’ll make the first move What’s holding us back This is long overdue We’ve traded comfort for facts We’ve wasted more time Than we may have left Livin’ aint lovin’ if it’s done so in jest Lyin’ eyes Lyin’ hearts We’ve both given up But we still play the part If not for the fear, of a new start We’d do what’s right Lyin’ eyes Lyin’ hearts Why are we holding tight To lyin’ eyes and lyin’ hearts

Songwriting classes cannot teach what you have, you have a natural feel, down to earth style that country music loves.

Many thanks Caren! Tbh the Lyin eyes part is supposed to be the chorus. I’ve been writing songs for about 3 years. I’m the guy that won’t take classes because I’m afraid I’ll then hold myself to a “standard” instead of how I write.I tend to stick with the traditional stuff you wont hear on the radio. Thanks for the kind words, much appreciated!

I beg to differ, Caren's right these lyrics are good enough, do you do the music? cause I hear a strong country song!

Blake Shelton could sing this one if you added a chorus. If you are not writing songs you should be,
