Lupine


As the northern wind sweeps away in the arctic gale
the swathing grandeur of my mesmerizing garden,  
the pallid patina of the distressed floral flourish
freezes beneath the withering frost of discontent.

Seraphic spring saunters with ripples of rapture in the air 
from the garden of Eden up above the cauldron of blue.
The spectrum of hues cascades in splendored shower,
as the dormant cerulean beauty blooms in my ashen garden.

With their spikes of untamed cobalt swaying in the crisp air 
lupine is the florid insignia of the spectral spring. 
With their upward soaring spears of indigo and amethyst, 
they stand stout like ornate sentinels against squally winds. 

As the palmate leaves of pristine emerald motif
design the jade lattice on the stem to embrace the sun,
they turn from much maligned wolf-like entity into catalyst,   
enriching the soil with nutrients through their deep roots. 

As from the yonder cops flows with fragrant spring fervor 
the musical resonance of the serenading breeze,
its captivating cadence is set in the harmonic congruence
of enticing sapphire sparkle with the shimmer of dulcet dawn.

In the surge of chromatic glimmer of the sunburst morn,   
floating on the fervent flood of the silken azure hue,
your aura drifts on the yearning wings of a butterfly,  
embraces the lupine rhapsody in the garden of my love.
