Congratulations Aditi on your winning placement. So much hope flooding through your poem - even though the keys are rusty they still play; "nostalgic rhythms open floodgates," a beautiful blending of the pensive and the positive in your musical imagery.

Rusty~melancholic~dusk~dejected...a choice of words which reflect the visual you write about, Aditi. Both nostalgia and hopeful longing seems to want to give life to memories. ~ Congratulations on making Nette's final winners' list. Regards // paul

Aditi, you sound like one who knows what it's like to pour out your melancholy into the keys of an instrument. Really nice capture of the melancholy feelings using metaphors of dusk and the old piano, but ending with hope. Congratulations on being selected as a winner, my friend.

Thank you dear friend. Somehow you always get to find the background stories in poetry :) I used to play long back but not anymore. I admit that most of my words flow with a hopeful note in the end no matter how they start.
