Humanity is trapped in the spasms of lunacy, technology lured our wayward hearts into schizophrenia, humaneness gone astray in the midst rush to self enrichment, faith, a pointless endeavor for the lost; finally, vicious realization - life atrophied, a silent scream...
This poem draws inspiration from the iconic work of Edvard Munch, titled "The Scream." The profound impact of this poem is truly amplified when experienced in conjunction with the accompanying picture.

Lasaad, this poem has the emotional impact of a "scream" and the futility so many, without faith, feel as they silently endure without a sense of any hope or help! Your opening verse, "trapped in spasm of lunacy" is just brilliant and perfectly sets the tone for the rest of your poem, which, like a scream, is short and impactful as it echoes through "life atrophied!" This is so good! Congratulations on your win! Blessings to you!

Definitely an iconic painting. The hint of imblance and lunacy seems evident and your poem captures the strangeness perfectly. A huge contender for a win in the contest.
