I had a dreamy dream,
that I was a moon beam;
a pretty goddess queen,
holding the moon.
It was warm in my hands,
this full moon of all lands;
shifting like desert sands,
I felt no gloom.
It was so heavenly,
picked from the ebony;
melting liquid freely,
oh sweet perfume.
Filigree blended lace,
I press it to my face;
this moon I now embrace,
must let go soon.
Oh moon let me ponder,
of your beauty wonder;
oh, sweet orb of silver,
transparent moon.
