Lulu and Dwight
silver strains of stardust spiral onto the moon
rubbing her eyes lulu awakes in a sugar bloom
within the dimness of the moons silhouette
she hears a familiar laugh she'll never forget
a sudden flaming flash riding a tiny comet
can it be is he really on it
ping and bing lulu springs
faster faster beat her gossamer wings
up through the orangeberry skies
fast as a sonic hummingbird flies
passing the comet but he's not on it
fluttering floating she missed him doggone it
sulking sleepy was it just a dream
even for a sprite life can be mean
snap flap and a boyish laugh
lulu flips over from push of her back
dwight that sprite with his hair aflame
grins while laughing out lulu's name
race you to the littlest star
zip and zoom he sprints hard
lulu smirks and pouts what a jerk
why should i, ooh dwight you jerk
fast as light free as lighting
speed of sprites smokes delighting
dwight ahead flies on his back
come on lulu your faster then that
tripping angels ducking asteroids
within space so much to avoid
finally dwight drawn by it's light
spins and dives out of sight
lulu slows there he goes
that silly boy only heaven knows
lulu drifts hanging arms back stiff
holding back tears with a sniff
marshmallow clouds and a blue heart
dipping her toes in mist where dew drops depart
lulu slips back to her lunar sugar bloom
a lock of red hair tied with littlest star perfume
as the scent ascends a face appears
dwight candy smile lulu happy tears
