Lullabye For Lilah
Lithsome little lass of mine – always laughing -
lingering outside, you luxuriate in sun’s last light.
I see you leap gleefully in the field lush with lilies.
My silly daffodil, you long to pluck the last rays of twilight!
Can I lure my darling lamb inside with luscious lemon pie?
Let me bathe you, Lilah. Later, the night shall surely creep.
Lay your sleepy head, Love, on the pillow; listen as I sing
a lilting melody to lull my lovely little girl to sleep.
