Lullaby, and Goodnight

Lullaby, and goodnight
Sorry for the fuss
When the moon is full tonight
Won't you think of us

When you see the space in bed
I don’t occupy
Rock my pillow very gently
Kiss it by and by

Keep my image close beside you
When you kneel to pray
All my vows are true completely
Since our wedding day

Softly, softly, as I leave you
Hold me one more time
Loving you is sweet and lovely
As your kiss sublime

In the splendor of the morning
When the day is new
Where the eagle flies in glory
I will wait for you.
