Lullaby

Sleep, sugar…
Doze off in this song of mine.
I’ll still be here,
Going through my own darkness…

Sleep, sugar…
Wrap yourself in cinder wings
As I cuddle your
Blazing sanity.

Sleep, sweetie…
I know you’ll heed the stillness
Of my own blood through
The words you talk in your sleep.

Hush, now…
I know you can hear me
Drying up these tears
On the outskirts of our last dialogue.

Sleep, sugar…
Let your dreams flood in…
