Lucky Dog

It's like if I you had a pet and it ran away one day
That's the way God the Father feels about you
Just wanting for that little creature to return home
Because oh how you loved them so and now worry much

So the Father sent Jesus out to find all those who were lost
To call them back home and show them the way
And along with Jesus the Father also sends forth the Holy Spirit
Ensuring that those who are lost are able to see and will hear Jesus

I know this analogy lacks in so many parts,
especially in comparing our love for our pets
To the Love God has for us, meaning you
The difference unable to be measured in the human mind

But that great sense of loss and sadness
That being in a way such a desire for return
Taking comfort in knowing they are seeking you
The Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen!
