Loyalty

Loyalty, oh loyalty,
What do you truly mean?
Is it just a word we use,
Or a virtue we truly glean?

Is it standing by your friends,
Through ups and downs and strife?
Or sticking with your family,
Through challenges in life?

It's a promise to be faithful,
And true to those we love.
To be there when they need us most,
And never give up.

It's a bond that's unbreakable,
A trust that never frays.
A commitment to be there,
Throughout all of our days.

Oh loyalty, you are the glue
That binds us strong and true.
You fill our lives with purpose,
And make our dreams come through.

So let us embrace your essence,
And hold you close and tight.
For loyalty, dear loyalty,
Is the foundation of what's right.

Loyalty is indeed a rare find anymore. fairweather friends seem to bail as soon as the boat springs a leak. Another fine write, Matt:)
