Loving You
For a third
of my life
I’ve wondered
what it would be like
to love you.
So far
even with all
the ups and downs,
loving you
has been very vital to me.
The dream
of loving you
and of you loving me
has provided so much
of the energy I’ve lived on.
We’ve come such
a long way
that I’ll not give up
on this dream
unless you’re the one
that awakens me from it.
