Love-What Gives
They say love makes the world go round
They say is the strongest force on earth
They say love is the light in the dark
And love is to share as feet is to move
They say love heals curses
And can turn a slave to a prince
But what is this love
Is it the sacrifice of a father
Or the escape of lovers
Or the pressure of peers
I have tried in so many ways
To understand what philosophers say
On the body of love
They too seem without words
Can this love
Ever be understood
