Lovesick Minnesota

I see you over there,
nervously playing with your hair
blushing at the ground
and trying not to stare,
so I'm pretending not to care.
(Tonight is bright and full of lights.)
I still don't care,
I'm trying to win you over
I'm playing the part,
I'm playing fair,
but you're gorgeous and distracting
...I'm not getting anywhere.
So don't trust me when I'm love sick
just carry me on through.
It doesn't matter where I end up
if I'm ending up with you.
I'll hold you tighter when your cold
girl I know how seasons do.
Warmer hearts in Minnesota
when it's negative two.
