Loves Still Alive

Reviving one at a time,
Bringing each one back to life,
The battle intensifies, the thicket grows thicker,
Hiding the heart from all pain makes you bitter,
Deeper it goes it settles to rest,
Except it becomes a false sense of truth where feelings can manifest,
Turning perspective and love into fear,
Overshadowing a heart that you held so dear,
Unable to understand that mentality's way,
For you..speaking out pain and truth take it away,
What happened...happened, it no longer exists,
A yesterday's lesson yet love still persists,
Affected infected and still cannot understand,
How you can still reach down and hold their hand,
How to separate yourself and still look into their eyes,
And with tears you can smile and say loves still alive.
