Love's Letter To Me

This is the last time I mention you by name, the last time I bother, so I'm asking you the last time like yesterday or the day before and before that, court me and wrap me in your blanket like the pigeon on your roof that, poor thing, shivered to death, victim of your negligence. This is the last time I catch your attention, last time I whisper in your ear and knock on your steel heart, Stop leaving me stranded on the highway, or under the bridge, I swear this is the last time I skulk under your skin looking for you, lost in your swamp.
