Notes About The Poem

Author's Notes: This poem, entitled: "Love's in the Stars" is a Rhyme Septet that I wrote on February 19, 2015 for release in my new book of poetry. It's touches on a love relationship between a man and a woman, and certain things that highlight the love that they share. This style of poem consists of a seven-line stanza of both varying meter and rhyme. The last verse in this style breaks from the even-rhymed symmetry of the previous six verses. Love's In the Stars

Love’s in the Stars

A romantic moonlit or a soft starry night . . . 
Are both special times for a sublime love so right.
Freshness pervades the scent of the sweet night air,
As I hold you close now looking at your face so fair.
I’m hopeful we both have that rare love meant for two,
Which we shall always cherish and hold so dear too.
Love’s in the stars—and so is our destiny my love!

I love romance.....the ending line is sweet. Romance is sweet. Thanks for the explanation to the poem as well. Starlight makes it all magical, as you have depicted in this poem.

Hello David, Great to hear from you!! I was away from the Soup the last 2 1/1 months finishing up my book for publication. (Just returned over the last two weeks or so.)
