Lovers

Afternoon showed
late today,
messin’ around with
Dawn and Morning.
There were storms
by 5 p.m.– Evening was jealous,
while Night waited
secretly for her turn.

Night waited secretly
for her turn.
Storms hit by 5 p.m.
Evening was vengeful,
while Afternoon was sorry
it showed late; thinking to himself:
“I should not have been
messin’ around with Dawn and Morning
when I’m in love with Dusk.
