Lover Boy

He was smart
he loved with his head
never with his heart
never a danderhead

Hit and run
was his game
he had some fun
and made a name

anything in skirt
caught in his net
he removed his shirt
his target met

On many hearts
he left deep scars
tender hearts
he set apart

For a start
he faked his care
on his part
true love was rare

He changed his gears
never to reverse
they spilled their tears
and rained the curse

None was to stay
just a night
and he calls it a day

He was alright

he met the bug
he gave it a hug
he caught the bug
looked fit but sick

He played his trick
he sent it round
his grave he dug
he still looked sound

He walked for years
enjoyed his game
year after year
his doomsday came

Hands to chest
alive but dead
glued to rest
weak, in bed

On same bed
'ewas 'ways swift
his shameful head
he nomore can lift

He lives in pain
tears he sheds
live again
"death is best "
