Lover and Friend

When I first met you I couldn't wait. I sat their enchanted like a fish and bait. I would sneak peeks behind the door. Wishing and hoping for more. Years have past now and we're still side by side. For years I have laughed, smiled, and cried. My best friend and lover in one. Life wouldn't of been nearly as fun. Somedays haunt my memories. Our souls intertwine like vines on trees. Ships pass in the night. My future looks grey without your light. I love you always my sweet friend. I hope when the time comes we both mend. We went down some dark paths. There's always signs to bring us back. I hope you know when the storms come. I'll be with you then and in the sun.
