Lover and a Hater

You drive me out of my mind
Sexy but you can't be kind
It's so darn infuriating
Maybe we shouldn't be dating

You destroy me line by line
Saying "Who cares he'll be fine!"
Why don't you just let me be
instead of controlling me

Stop treating me like a toy
I am not a stupid boy
Someone out there will love me
I am lovable times three

Your darkness can't eclipse this
See my light be the witness
I'm the duck you're the water
pour down hateful daughter

You will just run down my back
I'm prepared for your attack
look long it's the last you'll see
I'll bet you won't forget me!

Poem about judgmental hateful people.

Hi Richard, There are so many people like this. As you say Richard, water off a ducks back. Written in your usual style Richard. Why are people this way.? Have a wonderful Sunday. Your friend always....Mike.

THANK YOU MY FRIEND. CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR WIN IN BRENDA'S HATERS CONTEST. True, it is best to just let it flow away like water off a duck's back.

GREAT job, Richard. I like this one just using simple couplets! Especially enjoyed the duck and water analogy.

Reminded me of those mismatched relationships it seems we all had to suffer through. Thankfully way back in the past. Best of luck in the contest, Richard!

This is a fantastic write my friend! You have hit the nail on the head for this Contest, a very hateful woman trying to control the man...but is unsuccessful, thank goodness! It works the other way around, my sister got into a relationship with a controlling man, and he held her in the relationship much longer than she wanted to, finally she got out of it...had to get a restraining order on him too! I surely loved reading your incredible piece this morning! What a Remarkable poem, Great work!!
