Lovely Lotus
The euphoria in the birth of innocence is one so irresistible and bittersweet
Knowing the cold harvests of the world will purge for the end
The predators and prey are one and the same
To the flower, the absence is a stage for blossoming
Swept and kept slowly insane
It prevails
The flower is rather yet pale,
Undressed of the drug they seek
But there is more there is always more
To take, to possess, to savor
Pick a petal as they bleed
The greedy ones always aim for the stem
The compassionate ones dig for roots
In the end, nothing so precious could ever be
