Loved You the First Time

Loved you the first time

Loved you the first time our eyes had met
I felt a tremor in my heart
And I heard the strong sound of beating drums
Pulsing in the tranquil night
Loved you the first time our lips had kissed
A zephyr breeze had passed with love
The trembling of my hands circled your waist
And touched the golden tress of your hair
Loved you the first time we lay as one
As a tendril twining us
Symbiotically into our troth
Loved you the first time you called my name
my name my name my name myyyy nammme

The first time ever I saw your face by Roberta Flack
