'love Yourself'

Do that! Just that! Step out there and love yourself Put yourself first Once you get that down, All the other things will fall into place You can't heal someone else If broken is your 'middle name' The only way to make that work Is by losing yourself Saying goodbye to the 'true you' The question will always remain.. Where do I fit in? If you start disappearing to make someone else happy What about your happiness?

Dear Wilma, I totally agree with what you say here, especially for those of us who live alone. We get lonely and are overly sensitive to others' comments and actions. If "friends" cause us more harm than good, we have to release them or we suffer the consequences in many ways - emotionally, spiritually, physically. Just had to release a friend recently, so this poem means a lot to me. Beautifully written, dear. So nice to hear from you again! Love, carolyn

Wilma, I immediately recognize your cool and sincere philosophical style poetry in this one. So good to see you here tonight. What have you been UP TO??

Yet another thought-provoker (is this even an actual phrase??) poem from you, Missy... I love what you say here, and I have found myself in a similar situation, and someone has reminded me of the importance of loving oneself-- sometimes, we do run that risk of losing ourselves, for the sake of others' happiness...you should have another book, hmm "Wisdom from Sassy Missy" or something like that ;) mwahugs! Thanks again for bringing back to light your older poem :) & glad to read this new gem!
