Love Waits

The fool says,

"If I do not love I'll feel no pain.
  I'll hide here
  safe within my fear,
  without hot breath
with that kiss of living death."

But Love says,

"I'm waiting until you're ready,
   hungry for my pleasure
   and strong for my pain.
   until you're ready
   to forgive and forget
   and let me in again."

Yes, love is the one eternal truth! As far as entering the contest, I would pick your own favourite... First, check out the contest rules then maybe write one for it! Great pen by the way.

Lovely! Yes hurt comes when you love so much but the love in all its facets is worth it! Still we don't dig the pain ;)

So true, Kim, but you are right: it IS worth it. Love is always tested "by fire" so to speak. Thanks for your comments.

In my fairy tale, Love's not supposed to hurt. But then again, that is where true love is found, in fairy tales.Lol Enjoyed the read Carole.

Well, I'm glad you liked it...but I refuse to even think true love is only in fairy tales, Daniel. xox
