Love That I'm Longing For

Lord I know,
love is hard to find.
It's not easy to find someone who genuinely loves you.
Who vows to stay even when things are not going accordingly.

I just pray I can have someone for me.
Someone who won’t get tired of seeing me.
Tired of me.
Ashamed of me.

Someone who chooses me on the good days and the messy days.
Who laughs with me, prays with me, and sits with me in silence when words fail.
Who sees my flaws and still says “I’m not going anywhere.”
Who protects my heart, not breaks it.
Who builds me up when I’m low, and celebrates me when I shine.

Lord, if it’s Your will,
send me a love that is patient, kind, and faithful.
A love that reflects You steady, forgiving, and true.
And while I wait, teach me to be that kind of person too.
To love well. To stay well. To be worthy of the love I’m asking for.

I trust You. You see me. You know me.
And You will not forget me.
Amen.
