Love Takes Hold
When your heart beats against my chest;
our hearts combine, and love takes hold.
And perceiving life at its best;
intimate feelings soon unfold.
Seeking no answers as to why,
since we've met, I've never been bored.
And neither of us can deny;
that upon love's wings, hopes have soared.
A lifetime of dreams to explore,
we whisper secrets, sweethearts share.
And together, alone no more,
we know our love is true and rare.
I’m the half that makes your half whole;
I'm your soulmate, and you are mine.
And you're the one who shares my soul;
eternally, by God's design.
