Love Song

Indulge my aging ears
In your little words –
The sweetest gift
Birthed by sound

Wrap about my desire
Your contented quilt –
A younger heart
Not torn by sorrow

Play for me
A song forgotten –
A sleeping tune
Awakened by your love.
