Love Shared By Two
Something wonderful, something true
That’s what I’ve found by loving you
Feelings inside me continue to grow
I’ll do my best to let those feelings show
A quiet moment, I stop and stare
Thinking to myself, “what feelings do we share?”
I think of the days when we first began
All of the times we’d hold each other’s hand
The times of laughter, the times of tears
Nights I laid awake, my heart in fear
How I’d long for the next time we’d meet
With those feelings of excitement, nothing could compete
Thoughts of the future soon came into play
I wondered, would we really be together someday?
Many differences we’ve had to overcome
We’ve managed most and set aside some
In a short time, we’ve become quite close
There seems to be a future for us, but who really knows?
A lifelong commitment is on our minds now
In time, we will work all that out somehow
A beautiful future with you my love
That’s what my heart is dreaming of
A life full of happiness that’s meant to last
No sadness or pain like the times of the past
Our destiny is what we make it out to be
Our futures are all up to you and me
Commitment is something you must be sure of
If you choose to be joined by this union of love
When you find the right person to share everything in your life
It makes perfect sense to become partners for life
No fear of the future or thoughts from the past
We’ve finally found a love that will forever last
It took a long time for us to give into our hearts
But the love was there from the start
I saw something wonderful in your eyes and I knew
I have someone very special to love; I have you
