Love Renewed
When her love for him made her soul awaken
The light from within made her life worth living
She prayed his love for her would n’er be taken
But the pain of parting would soon come calling
She vowed that her heart would n’er be shattered
So, she lived beneath a shield, spirit falling
As time went by she knew love was what mattered
With the promise that a new love might prevail
She lay down the shield, willed life to be conquered
Her mate at her side she knew love wouldn’t fail
As shoulder to shoulder their lives joined as one
That shield that was once there no longer a veil
She opened her heart, and her worries were none
With peace in her soul once true love had begun.
