Love Poem
If I am to write a poem on love,
then I straight away think of you.
Older and wiser, offering unconditional
open hearted, opened armed embrace.
A love that knows what it is like
to be born into a war zone.
A love to step in when others stepped out.
I would not be here now without you.
So on your birthday here's my love.
Returned in this little package.
I send an enormous hug across the world.
Big sister, big friend, big part of my life.
