Love Or Ignorance?

I gave you trust.
I permitted you to shelter my heart.
Little did I know that it was you whom I should shield it from.
Stab after vicious stab.
I gave you trust
I was blinded by passion,
And now it’s too late, much too late.
The deceit you wove around me has tightened
The small mistake of giving such a valuable gift to the likes of you is killing me.
It’s too late now, much too late.
Is this the price I pay for loving?
Or for obvious ignorance?
But, I believe it’s too late now…
Just too late.
I wish I could just go home without you and live to see another, painless, day.
