Love On the Rocks

Love On The Rocks

We can dream about the warm togetherness
Through the snow and wild chill outside
We have come this far not to turn back now
There is no use looking back at the plough
Shelter lies dormant amidst it's beckoning blow
There are some sentiments I want you to know
The blackened edge of the diamond that I got you
Was now tarnished from the harmful elements
Let's look above to the heavenly love
Merciful one come take this chip off my shoulder
Stop the senseless fighting as our nation grows colder
Love on the rocks although it was once alive
We have erected portals to honor the dead
What is going on inside our fragile head
The time for comfort is now draw up the bath water
Put on some soft music and make the magic happen
As I look deep within your eyes I can see a future
A future with hope and promise of a much better tommorrow
Shades of grey have illuminated into a light green
Love on the rocks coming through the same old scene
