Love No More Betrayal

I thought that I had love,
That was the standard above,
But no,
It was big blow,
Of betrayal,
To him,
I am not a jewel,
And that doesn’t break the brim,
Of the anger that I don’t have,
I’m not his toxic half,
He doesn’t deserve me,
But he doesn’t deserve to be free,
Cause he’s a pig,
I’m not giving him my fig,
I’m done with boys,
I’m putting my voice up,
And my foot down,
And I have my crown,
And guys 25 and under are kids,
That need don’t bids,
They think they’re adults,
And they act like they don’t have faults,
And they blame it on girls,
And guys think they only care about curls,
But guys can tend to be meatheads,
And they can make stupid bets,
But as people said,
Girls mature faster than boys.

I can feel a deep hurt in this piece, Emma, but consider perhaps you're making a generalization over the faults of a few. I have known "girls" in their 30's who have played the same game as the "boys" you speak of. Welcome to Poetry Soup! John
