Love Never Last

There are things you realize in a
new relationship
It's one or two things you reconcile
with
You either made mistakes in the
past
Or it was them that didn't want it
to last
Your heart can still linger
Your mind can still fiend
Whatever the matter
Your tears can still splatter
Thinking of how things could have
been
No matter how they cheated
Or what people thought
The kiss, the touch, the smiles
The laughs the tears your heart
shifting gears
But now it's all over
Thinking somebody should've said
we wouldn't last
And that we would be just a thing
of the past
