Love Me Like You Mean It
I won’t settle for a life
That’s mediocre
Life’s too short for that
I’ve loved you and
Given you my heart
And gotten not much back
I’ve waited patiently but
You don’t love me anywhere
As much as I love you
Each day a new disappointment
A reminder that you don’t love me
Half as much as I love you
It hurts but I’m setting you free
All I wanted was for you
To love me like you mean it
It will hurt to live without you
But it hurts more to know
That you won’t and can’t
Love me like you mean it
