Love Lost

We've only just begun
a life combined as one
a life of love ahead
together we shall spread
our love to all we meet
and shout it from the street

What is this you say?
No, not one more day?
This cannot be true
what they say of you,
surely it's a lie

There is no cure
are you for sure?
I cannot bear
it is not fair

Quite the plight
eyes a fright
no more fight

just one
thing left

Death.

It is actually about my husband, he's been diagnosed with an incurable lung disease, although there may be more time with medications and such, we have a long road ahead of us....hopefully VERY long ... but...yeah, it's not easy living with the diagnosis.
