Love Lost

The deep, passionate love that felled me
Is gone forever.
The love I had was forbidden
For he was a Slayer;
A Lecta's worst enemy.
My sisters blame me for
All that has happened
And I cannot deny it.
As master of this coven
I am supposed to be strong.
Love is what made me fall
And I won't fall into it again.
"Blessed" love is a curse;
One that I cannot afford
To have upon me again.
I can't help who I am,
How my gifts come in,
But I can help how my life unfurls.
"The four walls that forever encroach
Are a cage of your own making."
The walls around me are closing in
And I am a caged animal;
Begging to be set loose.
I can't be let out because
I am a danger to my coven.
