Love Like This

I have so much love for
this pen and paper.

My love grew from a tadpole
and went through a huge metamorphosis

Now I can't dream of anything else.
I Scheme to get my poetry felt
I must have swallowed these instruments
whole because inside I feel swollen
I can't even close my belt.

I've never known a love like this.
I'd buy my pen and paper dinner
and some roses if I could.
I'll bow down and give respect
just like I should.

with my pen and paper I will
decipher the code to get me
out of the hood.

My pen and paper will help me
make the transition from unknown
to globally known.

There is no limits I set
once my pen and paper take control.

In my imagination my pen and paper
are my magic carpet and saber.
My pen and paper helps me better
understand thy neighbor.

This love I've learned to savor
because I am eternally grateful
for the favor and with
each word I write
I will always owe my life
to a love like this
