Love Like Rain

(Always open for constructive criticism) It’s like the rain. The kind that starts out So slow That you don’t quite know when Or where It all began. Not until you feel it. Pelting your skin It’s forcing its way in. Coming down so hard You can’t see past. Then you feel it in your bones. The chill that has pierced your soul. At this point There’s nowhere to go. And no one to slow down, Stop to look, See how you drown. And you’re passed help. Passed seeing who is Pulling you out. By the time You’re warm and dry The rain has left welts, You run from the sun, And you’ve been cast In pitch black For so long You’re blind to hope. And then the past is gone. You can nearly feel The future at your fingertips. And you just have to Hope you can hope Enough to grasp it.
