Love, Like a Rose
Love, Like a Rose…
Love, like delicate petals of bud rose,
Kiss me - wake me from my grey daydreaming
Walk in first light where the sun transposes
From moonlight’s silver shadows revealing.
Love, like tender color of the rose, caress me,
Brush away the thorns protecting my soft heart;
Cast off your thorny sheath so I may see
Blossoms open – ecstasy you impart.
Love, like the fragile rose with fire, embrace me
As your cherished prize winning bloom
Trace your fingertips along my bursting seeds
Rejoice - your plan born from your fertile womb.
Love, like fragrance lingering in the rose,
Leave your scent in a perfumed afterglow!
