Love Lifted Me

Like an addiction you feel
or like the heroin a drug
addict needs and like salt to
the sea or a living creature
to the study of biology, your
love I need.

How we need the rain and
the clear non-intoxicated
air to breathe and like the
bible a church needs and
the love we learn spiritually,
your love lifts me.

Their's no love without you
and it's meaning wouldn't
be as true, you're the better
fraction of my non-fiction
and the eros love I feel
through your existence.
Your love lifts and completes
me.
