Love Letters
Do you remember the days of love letters?
All written by hand,
None of this text talk,
Oh, it was quite grand.
There’s nothing quite like,
Clutching a love letter in your hand,
Sent from a lover from overseas,
Fighting in a far-off land.
It was always quite romantic,
When you were passed a love note in school,
You hoped with all your heart,
It was from the person you thought was cool.
We’d store them in old shoe boxes,
Hide them under our bed,
Keeping them for lonely nights,
The ones we’d always dread.
Perhaps it still happens today,
Maybe not as much,
With emails and mobile phones,
We’ve kind of lost that touch.
