Love Letters

Love letters

Letter by letter this alphabet of tainted love
Word by word I’ve written it with my mouth
Many times each day I say to you how much
That I love and need you in my life
I have proven it with self and soul
Action and deed with sacrifice and trust
So I have to ask myself in truth and pain
Can and should this flame rekindle in my heart?
I see the same needful sparkle in your eyes
But in reality is it simply for me or?
One thing I know for sure, we all make mistakes
And there is no doubt that we love each other
So I sigh and question my flawed judgment
Since the objectivity I once had is now long gone
Do your words have even the slightest
Ring of sincerity or truth?

boy some of the guys here seem to have so much trouble with women they can't trust. What happened to women?? My son, now30 tells me he sees this all the time in women his age. I just don't get it. In my "day" were so many nice women. Where are you guys finding these creatures? anyway, I enjoyed reading your poem, Edward. It's very heartfelt. LUv,Andrea

Edward. I am in the same boat. After trusting the woman I married, I now have no faith, not even an ioda of conficence, that I can discern anymore. So I plan to marry "the pursuit of truth" if that makes sense. Your poem here is heart wrenching for me especially, and I thank you for putting it in words. David
